5 Palestinians killed and others injured by occupation shelling in Khan Younis

A number of Palestinians were killed and others were wounded at dawn today by Israeli aircraft and artillery shelling on the town of Khan Younis in the south of the devastated Gaza Strip.

Palestinian media reported that the occupation aircrafts shelled a house west of Khan Younis city, killing 5 and injuring 8 others, including children and women. The occupation artillery continued its intense shelling in the vicinity of Al- Amal Hospital in the city center.

Local sources confirmed that the occupation forces fired white phosphorus bombs on the Qizan al-Najjar area south of Khan Yunis, and completely blew up residential blocks in the town of Bani Suheila east of the city, and carried out intensive shelling east of Rafah south of the Strip.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced last night that the number of victims of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 104th day has risen to more than 24,600 martyrs and 61,800 injured.
