5 members of the Iranian border guards were killed in a clash with gunmen in Saravan region in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeast of the country.

The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted the media center and communications of the Iranian police as saying today: 5 members of the Iranian border guard martyred yesterday in a clash with gunmen in Saravan region in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeast of the country.

The Border Guard Command of the Iranian Internal Security Forces in Sistan and Baluchestan Province announced a few days ago that an officer was killed in an armed clash while performing his duties in securing the southern eastern borders of the country in Sistan region.
