4551 Palestinian Students Martyred, Palestinian Education  Ministry Declares 

Occupied Al-Quds-(ST)-The Palestinian Ministry of Education announced that 4,551 students were martyred and 8,193 were injured in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank since the Israeli occupation began its aggression against the Strip on October 7th.

The Ministry said in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency: “The number of students who were martyred in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression reached 4,510 martyrs, while the number of wounded reached 7,911.41 students were martyred and 282 were injured, in addition to 85 were arrested in the West Bank.

The Ministry explained that 231 teachers and administrators were martyred and 756 were injured in the Gaza Strip, while 6 were injured and 71 were arrested in the West Bank.

The Ministry pointed out that the occupation bombed 346 schools, including 65 UNRWA schools in the Gaza Strip, 83  were considered as severely damaged and 7 completely destroyed, and 38 schools in the West Bank were attacked and vandalized.

The Ministry indicated that the occupation’s bombing affected 90 percent of the Gaza Strip’s schools, 29 percent of which have become inoperable  as they were exposed to total demolition or severe damage, and that 133 schools were used as shelter centers in the Gaza Strip, while 55 schools in the West Bank closed their doors as a result of attacks by the occupation forces and settlers.Educational courses are continuing via the Internet.
