The International Gulf Food Industries Exhibition “Gulffood 2022” is to kick off on Sunday in Dubai, UAE, with the participation of 45 Syrian companies.
The Syrian pavilion occupies an area of 318 square meters where 25 Syrian food companies will introduce their products, mainly olive oil, spices, sweets, chocolates, preserves and other Syrian food products prepared for exportation, according to the Syrian Export and Production Support and Development Agency (EPSDA ).
In a statement on Saturday, the EPSDA clarified that Gulffood is the biggest and the most important international specialized exhibitions. 4000 companies from 120 countries will take part in the event which will also witness the holding of important symposiums and conferences that will be attended by prominent businessmen and leaders of governments from different parts of the world.
The 5-day exhibition aims at shedding light on up-to-date innovations in food industries, marketing food products, reviving contacts between thousands of parties working in the food sector system, exchanging technical expertise and signing major deals, the EPSDA said.
On his part, Talal Qal’aji, Member of the Board of Damascus and Damascus Countryside Chamber of Industry, said that around 20 other Syrian food companies are taking part outside the Syrian pavilion, which stresses the importance of the exhibition in promoting the competitive Syrian food products at international markets.
