436 Syrian basic and secondary education students arrive from Lebanon to take the general certificate exams
Damascus countryside, (ST) – 436 Syrian students of primary and secondary education school arrived yesterday from Lebanon to take the general certificate exams.
The Director of Education in Rural Damascus Maher Faraj said in a statement to SANA that the number of students who arrived at the hosting center after crossing the Syrian-Lebanese border reached 436 male and female students.
He indicated that they were hosted by 4 hosting centers distributed in the towns of Al-Rawda, Housh, Jad, Jdeidet Yabous, and Kfir Yabous, where all supplies for students and health care were provided in cooperation with the concerned authorities. He added that all equipment were provided within five examination centers designated for these students, in addition to providing psychological and health support, implementing reinforcement courses to review the curriculum during the exam period, and securing means of transportation to and from the examination centers daily.
The Ministry of Education finished yesterday equipping 5,179 exam centers in preparation for the general exams for all certificates, which start tomorrow for high school, and on Thursday for basic education.
