DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- Forty trucks with vegetables, Fruits and other food materials and supplies on board arrived today in the city of Deir Ezzor in order to fill the markets there and meet citizens’ needs, Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Abdullah al-Ghurabi said during his tour in the city’s markets after the Syrian Army had broken ISIS siege of Deir Ezzor.
Al-Ghurabi told SANA that weekly aid convoys, each carrying at least 800 tons of food supplies, will be sent to Deir Ezzor and that the process of supplying the locals with food staff won’t stop, pointing out that a plan for distributing the aid has already been put.
Since the siege was broken by the Syria army, hundreds of tons of food supplies, medical requirements and other basic needs had arrived in Deir Ezzor via the air bridge which was opened by the government as to support the steadfast people of the city.
