Four Palestinians were martyred today and others were injured during the Israeli forces’ storming of the city of Jenin and its refugee camp in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said: The outcome of the ongoing Israeli aggression since morning on the city of Jenin and its camp rose to four martyrs, including an elderly woman.
The Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, confirmed that the situation is very critical, and that the Red Crescent reported that there are many injuries, including critical cases, and it is difficult to rescue and evacuate them as the occupation forces have prevented ambulances from entering the camp to rescue the wounded.
Al-Kaila noted that the occupation forces stormed Jenin Hospital in the city of Jenin, and deliberately fired poison gas bombs at the children’s department in the hospital, causing children to suffocate.
The Palestinian minister called for an urgent meeting with the International Red Cross and the World Health Organization to stop this aggression and intervene to save the lives of Palestinians, calling on all human rights institutions and the international community to take immediate and urgent action to curb the aggressive and racist occupation practices in Jenin.
Large numbers of the occupation forces stormed the city of Jenin and its camp in the morning, climbed the roofs of the houses in the camp and fired bullets at the Palestinians. The occupation forces prevented journalists and ambulance crews from entering the camp, and demolished the walls of the Jenin camp club, which the Palestinians use as an aid point for the injured.
The Palestinian resistance factions responded to the incursion and confirmed in their statements that they had targeted the occupation forces in the camp with heavy shells of bullets and explosive devices, pointing out that there were direct casualties among the occupation forces, and also announced the shooting down of an occupation drone.
