The Syrian mission participating in the 4th West Asia Paralympic Games, being held in Sharjah, UAE, has obtained four new medals: two golds, a silver, and a bronze.
Player Manhal Zarrouf won the gold medal in the physical strength competitions in the 88-kg category, and player Nora Baddour won the gold in the 41 kg category.
In table tennis, the pair, Jaber Hindi and Muhammad Ghassan Saleh, won the silver medal, while Hindi won the bronze medal in singles.
“The Syrian participation in the 4th West Asia Paralympic Games was successful and useful, Head of the Syrian Paralympic Committee Omar al-Aroub said, clarifying that the Syrian mission had ranked sixth in the overall ranking with 13 different medals.
At the beginning of the tournament, the Syrian mission obtained 9 various medals in athletics and badminton, including four golds, two silvers and three bronzes.
