4 fires within 48 hours in Latakia

Commander of the fire brigade in Lattakia, Lieutenant Colonel Muhannad Jaafar, confirmed that 14 fires had been extinguished during the past 48 hours, including 10 fires in grassy and agricultural areas, in addition to electrical fires which caused only material damages.

Jaafar pointed out that the fires broke out in large grassy areas in Al-Ruwaimiyah, Jableh highway, Basnada, the Gemmayzeh neighborhood, and on the Blue Beach Road, in addition to agricultural fires in  olives and lemons lands  in Burj Islam and at the Muzaira’a junction.

Several fires also broke out with tanks and electrical wires, including in Al-Dalia district and Al-Awaina neighborhood, indicating that all fires were extinguished without causing any human injuries.
