3rd Syrian Honey Festival kicks off in Damascus on Sunday

The Arab Beekeepers Union “Syria Trust” holds the 2nd Arab Forum for Beekeeping Sector and the 3rd Syrian Honey Festival at the Tishreen Sport City in Damascus between February 20th and 26th.

Symposiums and lectures are to be held with the participation of experts and beekeepers from several Arab countries, according to Head of the Arab Beekeepers Union’s branch in Syria Eyyad Da’boul.

Holding the Syrian honey festival for the third consecutive year comes after its success in the past two editions and its contribution to establishing direct connection between honey producers and consumers, Da’boul added.

He pointed out that during the Arab Forum for Developing the Beekeeping Sector, the Arab Beekeepers Union in cooperation with the UN Development Program (UNDP) will launch the national program for combating the Varroa mite disease “Varroa destructor” with the participation of a number of specialists.
