39 Palestinian captives released from occupation jails

39 Palestinians have been released from Israeli detention centers in exchange of the release of 13 Israelis held by the Palestinian resistance.

The process of exchanging the prisoners was implemented on Friday in implementation of the temporary truce reached between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation.

Palestinian media quoted the resistance as saying in a statement: “We extend our salutes to our Palestinian people, and to our victorious resistance whose steadfastness, heroic response, and great action on the battlefield, have forced the Zionist enemy to release our women and child captives from the occupation detention centers”.

The resistance stressed that completing the temporary truce would not have been achieved had it not been for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip and the determination to thwart the displacement scheme, and had it not been for the heroics of the resistance that forced the neo-Nazis to submit to its conditions.

The temporary truce agreement in Gaza Strip came into force at 7 a.m. on Friday, occupied Palestine local time, after 48 days of continuous Israeli aggression on the Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 15 thousand Palestinians, including 6150 children, more than 4 thousand women, in addition to more than 36 thousand injured people.
