According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), 376 Iraqi intellectuals and journalists signed a statement stressing that the Syrian people, who have provided the world with civilization, science and knowledge, and who believe in love and peace, have the right to live in peace like the other world peoples.

“The unjust siege that targets Syrian people , including children and women and elderly, has negative impact on the life of millions of Syrians, who have suffered from the war being launched on their country by those who call for human rights, justice and freedom, ” the statement said.

It emphasized that the forces of tyranny that impose siege on Syria is the ugliest form of attack and are based on the ignorance of human values.
