34 Palestinians martyred during the first quarter of 2022: Gathering of Palestinian Martyrs’ Families

The Israeli occupation forces continue with their crimes and violations in the occupied Palestinian territories. During the first quarter of 2022, 34 Palestinians were martyred in the occupation’s attacks on different parts of occupied Palestine.

According to WAFA News Agency, the National Gathering of Palestinian Martyrs’ Families said in a report on Tuesday that 30 Palestinians, including five children, were martyred in the Israeli occupation attacks on the West Bank, including Al-Quds city. 4 other Palestinians were also martyred in the occupation raids on Palestinian lands occupied in 1948.

Among the martyrs were Mohammad Rizk Salah, a 14-year-old child from Al-Kheder town, south of Bethlehem, Omar Abdul Majeed As’ad, an 80-year-old man from Jaljilia in Ramallah and Suleiman Al-Hazaleen, an 80-year-old man from the town of Oum Al-Kheir in Al-Khalil, WAFA clarified citing the gathering’s report.

 The report pointed out that half of the number of those martyrs died during last March, which confirms the escalating terrorism of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.

A recent report published by the Palestinian Health Ministry said that the Israeli occupation killed 355 Palestinians and injured more than 16,500 others during 2021.

According to charts provided in the report, the number of Palestinians killed by Israel in 2021 jumped from 10 in April to 303 in May.

Among those killed, 87 were children, 60 were women and 18 were elderly.
