DAMASCUS,(ST)_Some 334 food parcels were distributed yesterday to families in the terrorist-besieged Yarmouk camp south of Damascus, according to the official news agency (SANA).
The agency quoted Director General of the General Authority for Palestinian Arab Refugees Ali Mustafa as saying that the parcels were distributed near the Yarouk municipality building and in al-Tadamon quarter.
“The UNRWA and the Red Crescent Organization’s health points offered medical treatment to some people, while the Nour Association for Relief distributed food among people,” Mustafaadded, pointing out that 12 critical cases were evacuated from the camp.
Since January 30, 2014, some 57551 food parcels plus 11618 medical parcels were distributed among the people in Yarmouk camp and about 4645 humanitarian cases were evacuated .
On February 15, Director of the Palestinian Liberation Organizations’ Political Bureau Anwar Abdulhadi has announced the resumption of the aid distribution in Yarmouk camp after the terrorist organization prevented the distribution for three months.
The Syrian government supports the distribution process in the camp.
