32 people arrested in connection with the terrorist attack in Kerman

Tehran, (ST) – The Iranian Public Prosecutor in Kerman Province, Mehdi Bakhshi announced the arrest of 32 people in the case of the terrorist attack that occurred in the province last Wednesday.

The Public Prosecutor revealed in a television interview last night that 16 explosive devices were seized in the governorate before the terrorist attack, and before the fourth anniversary ceremony of the martyrdom of Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

The Public Prosecutor pointed out the arrest of 23 ISIS terrorists who were prepared to carry out suicide operations in Kerman Province in recent months. He said that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack blew themselves up before the ceremony’s inspection gate.

He also revealed the arrest of two suicide bombers, before the funeral ceremony for the martyrs of the terrorist attack in Kerman, who intended to carry out terrorist operations.

It is noteworthy that the double terrorist attack in the city of Kerman that occurred last Wednesday afternoon, targeting participants in the ceremony marking the fourth anniversary of Soleimani’s martyrdom – an event that itself led to the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of people.
