Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission confirmed that 32 Palestinian female prisoners, including 9 mothers, are subjected to the worst types of psychological and physical torture in the occupation detention centers.
Wafa News Agency quoted the authority as saying in a statement on Monday that the female prisoners have suffered from very bad conditions, especially the captive, Shorouk Dwaiyat, 24, who was shot at the moment of her arrest by the occupation forces in 2015, and the captive Khatam Saafin, 58, who was arrested in 2020.
The Agency indicated that the suffering of the female prisoners has escalated as a result of deliberate medical neglect, solitary confinement, and denial of visitation and being near their children.
The Commission renewed its call on the international community to pressure the occupation authorities to stop its violations of the rights of prisoners and to release them.
