Occupied Al-Quds – The Palestinian Prisoners Club affirmed that the Israeli occupation continues to detain 32 female prisoners, including a girl, under very difficult circumstances.
Wafa News Agency quoted the Palestinian Prisoners Club as saying in a statement on Monday the occasion of International Women’s Day that, the Israeli occupation continues to detain 32 Palestinian female prisoners it is holding in “Damon Detention Center”, including the 15-year-old girl, Nafuh Hammad, and 6 wounded women.
The club indicated that Damon Prison lacks the minimum necessities of life, and female prisoners are subjected to psychological and physical torture from the moment of their arrest. It pointed out that the suffering of wounded and sick female prisoners, led by Esraa Al-Jaabis, is constantly worsening as a result of deliberate medical neglect .
The club indicated that the Palestinian female prisoner, Jaabis needs a series of surgeries to her hands, ears and face, and she is in dire need of a special suit for treating burns, indicating that the occupation authorities refuse to provide her with the minimum health conditions necessary for her.
The club appealed to international organizations concerned with prisoners’ affairs to pressure the occupation to stop its violations of the rights of female prisoners and all Palestinian prisoners in its prisons.
