Homs (ST)-Yesterday, about 22 Palestinian and Syrian fine artists expressed their thoughts and feelings about the Palestinian cause within the “We Draw for Palestine” exhibition organized by the General Union of Palestinian Fine Artists in cooperation with the Syrian Fine Artists Union, Homs’s branch, at the Sobhi Shaib Fine Arts Hall.
The exhibition included 32 oil paintings in which the artists excelled in depicting the Palestinian cause and its various components. Through these paintings, they were able to send their messages related to steadfastness, loyalty, and love of the land.
In a statement to SANA, the head of the Palestinian Fine Artists Union, the fine artist Mohammed Al-Rukoui, said that the paintings carried the Palestinian Suffering in a civilized way” to prove our defense of our people with art and colors.”
Fine artist Fathi Al-Saleh participated with a painting depicting several people entitled “Sighs” symbolizing the suffering of the Palestinian people, while fine artist Hanan Ibrahim expressed in her painting the Palestinian heritage and Al-Aqsa Mosque using the knife drawing method instead of the brush to show through it her boldness in drawing and her ability to express her ideas.
The exhibitions official at the Palestinian Fine Artists Union, the fine artist Moataz Al-Omari, pointed out that his three paintings were painted with acrylic on canvas, and he used different methods, including the silk screen effect, to show the human condition, noting that his works contain words and symbols that have deep connotations related to the Palestinian cause.
