31 new facilities in Adra Industrial City commence production this year

New industrial facilities entered the labor and production market in the industrial city of Adra in the Damascus countryside, where their number reached 31 facilities, varying between food, engineering and chemicals, bringing the total production facilities in the city to 1131 facilities, the production of which in the local market constitutes more than 60 percent, according to the assistant director of the industrial city.

The Director clarified that the total number of facilities that are currently under construction is 3,383 facilities, while the total number of allotted partitions is 5,335, and work is underway to equip partitions in the city’s seventh sector with various infrastructure services to be put up for investment soon.

The Director pointed to the industries that have recently entered production, including asphalt aggregates, chargers, energy storage units, energy drink, medical drugs and batteries, while industries that are still under construction vary between electric cars, scientific laboratory furniture, ethyl alcohol, gypsum board, medical devices and adhesive cement.

On the other hand, the Director explained that the Adra Industrial Administration implements many works to support industrial facilities, the most important of which are infrastructure services for new facilities and infrastructure maintenance for old facilities, facilitating the process for investors to obtain energy carriers, in addition to the various services provided to industrialists through a single window and a solution to all service problems, if they exist, with care to secure the appropriate climate for the continuation of the production.

The Adra Industrial Administration had completed the lines for drawing water from the 16 wells that were dug and lined to the water pumping station located in Tel Kurdi, at a cost of 1.5 billion Syrian pounds.
