With the participation of Syrian companies in the field of food industries, the activities of the Gulf International Exhibition for Food Industries, Gulfood 2023, will start on Monday, at Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates.

Thaer Fayyad, Director of the Local Production and Export Support and Development Authority, indicated in a statement to a SANA reporter that the Syrian participation comes under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade represented by the General Organization for International Exhibitions and Markets, and in cooperation with the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and the regional office of the Federation of Arab Exporters and Importers in Damascus.

Fayyad noted that the Syrian participation is represented by a pavilion of 336 square meters, and 30 Syrian food companies specialized in the production and marketing of olive oil, spices, conserves, hot and cold drinks, sweets, chocolate, and other Syrian food products intended for export.

Fayyad pointed out that the Gulfood Dubai exhibition, which lasts five days, is the largest and most important among the international exhibitions specialized in the food and beverage industries. 120 countries, and more than 4,000 companies specialized in the food industry and marketing will take part in the exhibition. 150 businessmen will present their scientific expertise through conferences and seminars held during the exhibition.

The exhibition aims to highlight new innovations in the market, seize the rapid shifts in consumer behavior patterns to market food products, and revive communication links between thousands of entities working in the food sector system.

It is noteworthy that Syria participated in the activities of the Gulfood 2022 exhibition with a pavilion of 318 square meters and the participation of 25 Syrian food companies.
