3 UNIFIL soldiers, a Lebanese civilian injured in Israeli drone attack in Rmeish town, South Lebanon

3 soldiers affiliated to the UN Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL), as well as a Lebanese translator were injured on Saturday in an Israeli drone attack that targeted their vehicle in Rmeish town in South Lebanon.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the injured persons are UNIFIL soldiers from Norway, Chile and Australia in addition to a Lebanese translator who was accompanying them. The agency pointed out that a UNIFIL helicopter arrived at the targeted site and transferred the injured persons for treatment.

The news agency’s reporter explained that a four-wheel-drive vehicle belonging to UNTSO truce observers near Point B37 on the Blue Line, on the border with occupied Palestine, was subjected to an Israeli attack at approximately 10:15 a.m. this morning, as it was targeted by a direct missile, which resulted in the injury of three officers and a civilian translator, one of them was critically injured.
