2nd Aleppo International Fair an Opportunity to Introduce Local Production

Aleppo province, which is considered as the economic and industrial capital of Syria, is witnessing, like other areas liberated from terrorism, the return of the agriculture, industrial and economic movement.

The current state of stability in most Syrian areas has encouraged Arab and foreign companies to come and invest in the country and take part in different activities in all domains.

The currently held 2nd Aleppo International Fair is witnessing remarkable participation of about  500 companies from various industrial, commercial and service sectors.

In a statement to SANA correspondent, Ali Nizam, the Director of the Aleppo International Fair, highlighted the remarkable development the fair is witnessing in its second edition in terms of the participations and the quality of the national products.

 He made it clear that the aim of this exhibition is to prove to the world that Syria is pressing ahead with its industries despite all the difficult circumstances, pointing out  that the exhibition provides an opportunity for enhancing contracts, exchanging expertise among participants and introducing local products.

Mr. Ahmed Safadi, one of the participants working in the field of  accounting and archiving programs, stressed to SANA correspondent the importance of participation in this exhibition  after the return of activity in Aleppo as the commercial capital of Syria, especially after the return of many companies, factories and shops to work which created a need to automate their business activities through accounting programs.

On his part, Mohamed Primo, director of Arabica Food company stressed in his statement  that the importance of participation stems from the need to support national industry and to prove its presence in the local arena.

He underscored that the second edition of the exhibition is characterized by  remarkable turn out and good organizing compared to the first edition..   

 From Damascus, Ahmed Tsabahji, the  Marketing Director of Delta Food Industries, clarified to SANA  that the participation comes to support economic activities and communicate directly with the consumer to provide suitable prices.

Another participant Abdul Rahman al-Damlakhi, Director General  of Al-Shareq company for food products in Aleppo said  that this exhibition is an economic manifestation, which  proves that Aleppo recovered from terrorism and this was confirmed by Omar Mallawi, the marketing supervisor of Hamwi brand coffee , pointing out that the wheel of the national economy is still going on.

On their parts, visitors expressed their admiration over the wide variety of the exhibited products which included textile, engineering, technical, chemical and food products.

Activities of the Aleppo International Fair kicked off on April 20th in the sport city of Al-Hamadaniyah with the participation of government and the local private sectors as well as from Arab and foreign countries including China, Indonesia, Venezuela, Philippines, Serbia, Armenia, Palestine and Yemen.

The event is due to last till April 26th.
