Some 296 employees working in agricultural sector completed a training course for self-defense units in Hasaka city.
The course included training on combat skill where the trainers hypothetically attacked a hideout of armed terrorist groups and raised the Syrian flag after destroying the hideout.
Those trainers will support the Syrian arb army in fighting terrorism and restoring peace and security to all areas in the country, the Damascus-based al-Watan newspaper reported.
It quoted Hasaka Governor Mohammad Z’al al-Ali as saying: “We will go ahead with training state employees to support the army and armed forces in the province to maintain security.”
On his part, Leader of military operations in Hasaka province Major General Hasan Mohammad Mohammad called on the province’s locals to join the military training courses to back the Syrian army and to continue achieving victory over the homeland’s enemies.
“The tasks of the self-defense units are to protect the governmental institutes and to reinforce checkpoints,” the Major General said.
