27 ISIS terrorists killed in an operation by Iraqi forces northern Iraq

Baghdad, (ST) – Iraqi forces have eliminated 27 terrorists during a military operation against the terrorist organization “ISIS” in Makhmour Mountains in Nineveh Governorate, northern Iraq.

Al-sumaria News quoted the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasul, as saying in a statement on Wednesday that “the operation, “Al-Assad Al-Mutahib”, which was launched by the Counter-Terrorism Service in the Makhmour mountain in the city of Mosul on the ninth of this March to eliminate the remnants of ISIS The terrorist attacks resulted in the death of 27 terrorists.

Rasul added that, “the Iraqi air force and army aviation participated in supporting the operation by directing 312 air strikes that destroyed 120 caves and sites, killing many of terrorists while the others fled.”

The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces announced in a statement today the seizure of light and medium weapons that were used by “ISIS” terrorists during a search operation in the village of Umm Al-Rahal, south of Samarra.

The Iraqi forces continue their operations to eliminate the remnants of “ISIS” terrorists in various Iraqi regions.
