26 are killed and 11 are injured due to heavy floods in Pakistan

On September 4th, more than 26 people were killed and 11 others were injured in heavy floods caused by torrential and continuous monsoon rains in Pakistan.

More than 26 people were killed, including 12 children and three women. The province of South Sindh was the worst affected, followed by the northwest province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and southwestern Balochistan,”,Xinhua quoted the National Disaster Management Authority as saying.

The floods also destroyed 40,980 homes and killed 875 head of livestock.

The total number of deaths in Pakistan as a result of monsoon rains and floods this season since mid-June has risen to about 1290, along with 12,588 injured, in addition to the destruction of 1,468,019 homes.
