An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck the city of Zahedan, the center of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, eastern Iran.
The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the head of Khatam al-Anbia Hospital in the city of Zahedan, Mohammad Reza Meradi, as saying in a statement: The earthquake, whose epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers, resulted in the injury of 25 people who were taken to the hospital by emergency forces.
An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale on Monday struck the “Sarkaz Ahmadi” area in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran, without any information being reported about injuries or damage.
