23 Civilians Martyred in Fresh US-Led Coalition Aggression on Two Villages in Deir Ezzor Eastern Countryside
DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- New US-led Coalition airstrikes on residential neighborhoods in al-Boubadran and al-Souse villages in Deir Ezzor Eastern Countryside have claimed the lives of 23 civilians, injured many others and destroyed a number of houses, local sources told SANA.
The new crime comes less than 24 hours after the coalition’s raids destroyed four houses in al-Sha’fa village in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and in which a number of civilians were martyred and wounded. Two days earlier, more than 60 civilians were martyred in the coalition’s aggression on al-Sha’fa village. The attack also led to the displacement of hundreds of civilians after their houses get destroyed.
On Wednesday, the illegal US-led coalition used cluster bombs in bombarding residential areas in Hajin town and al- Sha’fa village in Deir Ezzor eastern countryside. The aggression claimed the lives of a number of the civilians, injured others and caused material damage to civilians’ houses and properties.
On Tuesday, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates urged the UNSC to assume its responsibilities in taking a serious and prompt move to stop the coalition’s assaults and massacres. It also reaffirmed the need for the Council to adopt whatever required for establishing an international independent neutral mechanism for investigating into these crimes and punishing their perpetrators.
