“Agro Syria 2025” kicks off at Damascus Fairgrounds

The activities of the 3rd International Syria Agricultural Mechanization and Livestock Exhibition “Agro Syria” kicked off today with the participation of 120 Arab and international companies, at the Damascus Fairgrounds under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Minister of Agriculture Amjad Badr affirmed to reporters that the state encourages agricultural investments and will provide all necessary facilities to investors.

He noted that the Ministry of Agriculture is currently working to address the difficulties and problems facing the agricultural sector, using a scientific and technical approach to advance it.

Mohammad Hamza, the Director of the Exhibitions Foundation, pointed out that Syrian exhibitions have regained their former glory.

He noted that the Agro Syria exhibition is the first to be held in the era of the “New Syria,” stressing that the wide participation of local and international companies is a promising sign for the recovery of the Syrian economy and the beginning of revitalizing Syrian exports abroad.

For his part, Khalaf Meshadani, Director of Meshadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences said  that the number of participating countries and companies in the exhibition this year reached 120 local, Arab, and international companies, representing specialized companies in agricultural machinery, livestock, production supplies, fertilizers, seeds, modern irrigation systems, veterinary medicine, and advanced agricultural equipment.

“The Agro Syria exhibition serves as a strategic platform for knowledge and trade exchange, an ideal opportunity for conducting business deals and expanding investment opportunities,” he stressed.

Meshhadani pointed out that” this economic event also serves as a key meeting place for decision-makers, producers, farmers, and stakeholders in the agricultural sector in Syria and globally.”
