About 220 families in the countryside of Daraa benefited from the inputs of a grant for poultry farming distributed by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Daraa in cooperation with the Directorate of Agriculture.
The head of the Red Crescent branch, Dr. Ahmed Al-Masalma, said in a statement that the grant supported by the Italian Cooperation Organization comes within the livelihood projects aimed at supporting the most vulnerable families to secure part of their food needs, indicating that the families benefiting from the grant were distributed among the villages of Al-Majidil, Al-Mazlumah and Al-Najih in the Lajat area. He explained that the grant consists of 14 chickens, a liter of vitamins and 150 kilograms of feed for each family, indicating that the beneficiary families met the criteria for obtaining the grant and underwent training sessions on the most cost-effective methods of raising chickens.
