22 diverse medals for Syria in the Arab Judo Championship

Amman (ST)-The Syrian Judo team won 22 medals, 11 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze, in the Arab Championship for national teams currently being held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with the participation of the national teams of Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Libya, Palestine, Jordan and Iraq.

In detail, the gold medals were won by Majd Haj Qaddour, in the 81 kg weight category in the youth category, Laila Kanaan, Nour Al Shaer and Farah Al Qantar, respectively, in the 52, 63 and 70 kg weight categories in the youth category, Qusay Batman, in the 50 kg weight category in the junior category, and Malak Al Shaer, Ryan Qarqjia, Sandra Obeid and Shahd Al Saad, respectively, in the 52, 57, 63 and over 70 kg weight categories.

As for the silver medals, they were won by Ahmed Al-Qaed and Bashir Haritani in the 81 and 100 kg weights in the youth category, Mohammed Al-Rahwan in the 66 kg weight in the junior category, and Samila Barmada in the 48 kg weight in the junior category.

The bronze medals were won by Omar Shehadeh and Qusai Al Shaer in the youth category, in the 73 and 66 kg weights, and Jawad Masoud, Raed Al Rahwan and Abdul Kafi Abara in the 60, 55 and 81 kg weights.

In the Kata competition, our team won 4 medals, as our team won the gold medal in the Kimi-No-kata competition through players Mufid Al-Baroudi and Anwar Salihi, and the silver medal through Ali Diab and Anwar Salihi. It also won the gold medal in the Kodo Kan Koshin Jutsu competition through Anwar Salihi and Mufid Al-Baroudi, and the bronze medal in the Naki Nokata competition through Raed Al-Rahwan and Sandra Obaid.
