Iranian government spokeswoman: Genocide in Lebanon and Gaza must be stopped

Tehran, (ST) – Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani stressed that the genocide taking place in Lebanon and Gaza is a major humanitarian tragedy that must be stopped.

IRNA quoted Mohajerani as saying during her weekly press conference today: “Iran is doing its utmost to alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza and southern Lebanon, and supports any peace proposal that leads to improving the situation in the region.”

She clarified that Iran will certainly make effective efforts to achieve peace.

Mohajerani stressed the need to make every possible effort to stop the Israeli attacks. She called on the international community to assume its responsibility towards this issue.
