DAMASCUS, Jul.17, (ST)- The Director of Daraa Customs, Diab Shadoud declared on Sunday that 2,000 tons of Syrian products were exported through the Nassib border crossing with Jordan since last Saturday.
“The amount of exports during the period of Eid Al-Adha holiday until yesterday [ since last Saturday until yesterday] reachrd about 2,000 tons, including vegetables and fruits, while imports amounted to 1,000 tons of various products,” Shadoud told the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
He added that during the mentioned period, 416 cargo containers and 103 cargo transit trucks to Lebanon were recorded.
The number of incoming and outgoing cars with passengers during the same period hit 2,300.
On September 27, 2020, the transit traffic through the Nassib-JaberBorder Crossing between Syria and Jordan resumed after it reopened to freight traffic only.
the Nassib-JaberBorder Crossing was opened in late 2018 for passengers and trucks, but the Corona pandemic imposed its limitation in both directions to trucks.
