20 Syrian, Palestinian artists take part in exhibition to support al-Quds [Jerusalem]

A big mural depicts the Dome of the Rock, the occupied al-Quds city [Jerusalem], Palestinian woman and her sacrifices for the homeland has been featured in an exhibition held in Damascus under the title ‘on the road to al-Quds’.

The exhibition held yesterday by the General Federation of the Palestinian Visual Artists with the participation of 20 Syrian and Palestinian artists included 60 paintings showing the beauty of Palestine and adherence to right of return to the homeland[ Palestine] as well as the Syrian people’s suffering from the war.

Speaking to the official news agency (SANA), Chairman of the Palestinian Artists Federation Abdul Mo’ati Abo Zied clarified that the exhibition comes within the activities of the 2nd International Palestine Festival for modern art that aims to support al-Quds and to tell the whole world that there is a world campaign for return to Palestine no matter how long.

He indicated that the participation of Syrian artists in the exhibition proves that Syria- despite its pain- will never forget Palestine.

Over 300 artists from Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, India and Norway are taking part in the 2ndInternational Palestine Festival for modern art that focuses on the cultural identity of the Palestinian people.
