2.5 magnitude earthquake occurs off-shore Lattakia

 LATTAKIA, (ST)- A minor earthquake took place Saturday evening off-shore the Syrian city of Lattakia, according to SANA. No damage was reported.

Eng. Shadi Qahhoush from the National Earthquake Information Center told SANA reporter that the earthquake occurred at 20:20. It hits 22km northwest of Lattakia and at a depth of 2km.

According to Qahhoush the people of Lattakia felt the earthquake.
