193 craft and industrial facilities opened in Tartous since the beginning of the year

Tartous (ST): The number of handicraft and industrial establishments opened since the beginning of the year in Tartous Governorate has reached 193 facilities with a capital of 3 billion pounds, which were able to secure 569 job opportunities.

According to a report issued by the Tartous Industry Directorate, the number of handicraft establishments opened reached 128, including 65 food establishments, 45 engineering establishments, 9 chemical and similar textile establishments, with a total capital estimated at 790 million pounds, and the value of their machines 634 million pounds, which were able to secure 279 job opportunities.

 

The number of implemented industrial establishments reached 61 industrial establishments according to Law No. 21, distributed between 47 food establishments, 39 chemical establishments, 6 engineering establishments and two textile establishments, with an estimated capital of two billion pounds and the value of machines reaching 662 million pounds, which secured 253 job opportunities.

According to the report, 4 industrial facilities were implemented in accordance with the investment law, including two food and two chemical facilities, with a capital of 600 million pounds, and the value of machines amounting to 292 million pounds, and it was able to secure 37 job opportunities.

According to the report, the number of facilities implemented in Tartous last year reached 124, with a capital of about one billion pounds, and the value of their machines reached 535 million pounds, and they were able to secure 410 job opportunities.

The implemented facilities were distributed among 59 craft facilities, which included 25 food facilities, 21 engineering facilities, 8 textile facilities, and 5 chemical facilities, in addition to the implementation of 64 industrial facilities in accordance with Law No. 21, including 35 chemical facilities, 15 food facilities, and 14 engineering facilities, with the implementation of a food facility as one of the investment projects.
