190 companies participate in the 6th session of the “Rebuilding Syria ”Exhibition

With the participation of 190 local, Arab and foreign construction companies, the 6th session of the “2021 Rebuilding Syria” Exhibition kicked off on the fairgrounds of Damascus on September 29th’s evening.

The 15-day exhibition aims to ensure the requirements for reconstruction and to present inventions, technology and new products in this field to decision makers in the public and private sectors.

The Minister of Public Works and Housing Eng. Suhail Abdel Latif said  after his tour in the Exhibition that reconstruction needs such exhibitions so that the consumer and the contractor will be directly connected and informed of the latest developments in the construction materials industry, local and foreign cladding, and the machines that produce them.

Minister Abdul Latif noted the diversity of companies participating in the exhibition, whether Arab, foreign or local, stressing the keenness to encourage local production of the building materials industry in light of the return of security and safety to the territory of Syria.

In turn, the Director General of Al-Bashiq Foundation for Trade and Exhibitions,  Tamer Yaghi, said: “ We believe in reconstruction and we are betting on this matter with our steadfastness and strength of will despite all the challenges facing our country from an unjust economic siege and the conditions of the spread of the Corona epidemic, which led to the difficulty of international shipping and led to the difficulty of organizing such exhibitions that meet the need of the local market.”

Yaghi, whose company organizes the exhibitions, pointed to the high index of the number of local companies participating in the exhibition, especially the construction ones.

The exhibition receives visitors daily from 4.30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
