18th Beijing International Tourism Fair concluded with the participation of Syria

Beijing, (ST) – The activities of the Beijing International Tourism Fair in its 18th edition concluded after it lasted for 3 days, with the participation of the Syrian Ministry of Tourism along with a group of tourism institutions and travel offices.

Representative of the Ministry of Tourism Ziad Balkhi said in a statement to SANA correspondent in Beijing that this international exhibition witnessed wide participation, as it is being held again after a stop of years due to the spread of the Corona virus.  He pointed out that many Chinese tourism companies visited the Syrian pavilion with the aim of concluding agreements with the tourist offices participating in the exhibition to reactivate Chinese tourism in Syria.

Balkhi indicated that a number of Chinese media outlets and influencers in the media covered the Syrian participation extensively, and reported about it to the Chinese people, while many visitors expressed their positive impressions of this participation, as the Syrian pavilion and offices met with wide turnout and encouragement from the public.

He considered that the importance of the Syrian participation comes from the great importance of the Chinese tourism market, as it is the largest source of tourism in the world, with about 150 million tourists annually, noting that the Syrian tourism product received good attention.

It is noteworthy that the Beijing International Tourism Fair in its 18th edition was held with the participation of 13 countries, andit  included 500 pavilions and 2,000 exhibitors.
