Aleppo, (ST) – 180 facilities have returned to work in the Al-Lairamoun industrial zone in Aleppo after their rehabilitation and restoration due to the destruction caused to them as a result of the terrorist war. The facilities were put again into service after their needs of necessary supplies, equipment and electrical energy were secured.
The Head of the Industrial Layramoun Committee, Hosni Tarab said in a statement to SANA reporter that the area is close to the city center and before the war, it included more than 2,400 establishments with various types of food industries, printing presses, and embroidery and textile factories, which constitute 80 percent of these facilities, but they were destroyed as a result of the terrorist war. However, after liberating it from terrorism and securing necessary electricity, 180 facilities returned to work and service.
Tarab called for fulfilling the industrialists’ demands for increasing the hours of electrical power supply and securing the requirements of the infrastructure, which contributes to increasing production, returning the wheels of their facilities to work and overcoming the difficulties facing their work.
The industrialist, Munir Dawidari, the owner of a facility for the production of cotton clothes affirmed to SANA that insistence on work, the return of glamor to the industry, and the rebuilding of what was destroyed by terrorism prompted him to restore and rehabilitate his facility and put it into service to contribute to supporting the economy.
“The city of Aleppo was and will remain the capital of Syrian industry”, he added.
In turn, industrialist Alaa Ajam, owner of an embroidery, printing and clothing production facility, said that after the area was liberated from terrorism, he hurried to return to his facility and restore it so that it can contribute to supporting the national economy, pointing out that his facility includes a number of embroidery machines for ready-made garments, printing, sewing and detailing.
The industrialist Anas Qassas, owner of a facility for the production of polypropylene yarns, stated that he began renovating his facility in 2021 and maintaining the machines to put them into service during the coming period. He indicated that the stability of the electrical system contributes greatly to increasing production and helps the industrialists return to their facilities.
