Mansour: The continuous international silence on the crimes of the Israeli occupation is very dangerous

New York, (ST) –  Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations Riyad Mansour warned of the dangers of continued international silence over the aggressive policy and cromes of the Israeli occupation and its continuous violations against the Palestinian people. He called for serious international steps to protect the Palestinians and put an end to the impunity of the occupation.

In letters he sent yesterday to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council, and the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Mansour said that the Israeli occupation  settlers continue their terror acta and crimes against the Palestinians, the latest of which was killing the young man, Samih Aktash, 37, who was shot by settlers. 100 others were injured and Palestinian property was destroyed in the towns of Hawara, Burin, Awdla and Asira Al-Qibliya near Nablus.

Mansour called on the international community, led by the Security Council, to move to support international law, stop the crimes of the occupation and ensure international protection for the Palestinian people. He stressed that the time has come to compel the occupation authorities to abide by the rules of international law and put an end to the injustice practiced against the Palestinian people.
