SDF Militia Continues to Abduct Youths in Raqqa and its Countryside

Raqqa, (ST) – The US-backed SDF militia continued its abduction campaigns during the past hours targeting youths in Raqqa and its countryside to force them to fight within its ranks.

Local sources stated that SDF militia raided a number of houses in Rumaila neighborhood, east of the city of Raqqa and abducted number of  young men.

Other armed groups of the militia also roamed the neighborhoods of Tabaqa city, Al-Mahmoudli town, and the surrounding villages east of the city, and abducted a number of youngmen.

The sources stressed that the militia imposed a total curfew in Raqqa city and took the abducted youths to its camps to recruit them within its ranks amidst a state of anger and rejection prevailing among the families. The families tried to communicate with their sons to no avail, demanding an end to the militia’s continuous violations against them.

Yesterday, the SDF militia intensified its raids and repressive practices against the citizens in several areas in the southern countryside of Hasaka and Raqqa, abducted dozens of youths and led them to an unknown destination.
