155 Iraqi families leave “Al-Hol Camp” in coordination with the Iraqi government

This Sunday morning, 155 Iraqi families left “Al-Hol Camp” in southern Hasakah, which is managed by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in coordination with the Iraqi government.

This marks the 21st group to leave since coordination began between the Iraqi government and SDF to evacuate Iraqi refugees from the camp, and the third such departure since the beginning of 2025.
The Kurdish “North Press” agency, affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), quoted Shukri Al-Haji, the head of the exit office at “Al-Hol Camp,” as saying that the number of departures in this group reached 155 families, totaling 569 individuals.
Al-Haji said that efforts are ongoing to evacuate the remaining refugees in coordination between the SDF and the Iraqi government.
The departing families will head to Al-Jadaa Camp in the Iraqi city of Mosul, which the government has designated to receive returnees from Al-Hol.
According to camp administration statistics, around 15,000 Iraqi refugees remain in Al-Hol Camp.
A source in the camp administration said that two trips to Iraq are expected to be organized each month.
In addition to displaced Syrians and Iraqis, the camp also houses families of ISIS militants, including some of foreign nationalities.
