150 million cases of Coronavirus in the world

Paris (ST): Based on official figures, the French Press Agency has monitored  more than 150 million cases of Coronavirus around the world, while many countries recently witnessed unprecedented record levels in the number of new daily infections since the start of the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic. 

According to the figures released today, 150 million 337 thousand and 583 infection cases of the virus were officially announced in the world, including six million infections recorded within one week. The number was reinforced by the worsening spread of Corona in India, with 2.5 million people infected during the past seven days.

The number of new daily infections has more than doubled since mid-February, and this acceleration is mainly caused by the spread of the virus in India, where 18 million and 762 thousand and 976 cases were recorded in a health crisis that may be caused by the spread of a mutated strain of the virus in addition to non-compliance with the health rules and restrictions associated with the pandemic, according to what the World Health Organization said yesterday. 

The countries most affected by the total number of corona infections are the United States 32 million 288 thousand and 764, India 18 million and 762 thousand and 976, then Brazil, with 14 million and 590 thousand and 678  cases.
