150 companies and institutions participate in the Job Gate Forum

On November 9th, the Human Resources Management Foundation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, the Syrian Trust for Development and Syriatel, launched the Labor Gateway Forum at the Sheraton Damascus Hotel.

The two-day forum aims to secure 1050 job opportunities, with the participation of more than 50 companies and institutions from various sectors and industries, and 100 companies in virtual reality that offer various job opportunities within telecommunications companies, food and pharmaceutical industries, international organizations, banks, engineering companies and others.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Muhammad Seif El-Din said in a statement to reporters that the forum is important in securing job opportunities and networking between job seekers and employers.

He noted that the ministry is coordinating with all concerned authorities with the aim of securing job opportunities for the largest possible number of young people and providing training for them within the labor market.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Human Resources Foundation, Dr. Munir Abbas, said that the forum is the first of its kind and extends for a month as a virtual forum with the participation of several parties that have branches in Damascus and the governorates.

Abbas added: “There are a number of volunteers in the forum to help job seekers prepare their CVs and guide them professionally to go to companies related to their specialization and desires.”

The Director of Community Lighthouses at the Syrian Trust for Development in Damascus and its countryside, Tariq Jeroudi, explained that the forum is a continuation of the message of the Syrian Trust for Development to create a supportive environment in linking people to job opportunities through professional training and activities.

Jeroudi said that people who were unable to obtain an opportunity during the forum will be trained within the lighthouse centers.

Director of the Employment and Personnel Affairs Unit, Tariq Al-Saadi, indicated that Syriatel is based on a strategic partnership with the Human Resources Foundation with the aim of committing to social responsibility, providing support and cooperation, developing the field of human resources management, and promoting the Syrian market with real expertise on scientific foundations and modern management.
