15 Syrian teams to take part in the 2019 Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship in Egypt
DAMASCUS, (ST)- 15 Syrian teams are to take part in the 2019 Africa and Arab Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC) in the Egyptian city of Sharm al-Sheikh, due to be held on November 30th and December 1st.
According to the Syrian Distinction and Creativity Agency, supervisor of the local programming competitions, 140 teams representing 70 universities from Arab and African countries are taking part in the ACPC which contains a number of complicated computing problems that need high ability of analysis, logical thinking and Computer Algorithms skills to be solved.
The Syrian teams represent the universities of Damascus, Aleppo, Tishreen, al-Baath and the Virtual University in addition to the Higher Institute for technology and Applied Sciences.
Winner teams are to be qualified to the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) scheduled to be held in Russia in 2020.
