15 policemen wounded in an explosive device attack on their bus on Damascus-Daraa Road

On January 30th, 15 members of the Internal Security Forces were wounded, as a bus carrying them was targeted by an explosive device on the Damascus-Daraa highway.

The Ministry of Interior said in a statement: “terrorists on Monday targeted with an explosive device a bus carrying internal security forces members after they accomplished their tasks in Daraa and while they were returning to Damascus.

The attack, which took place near the Khirbet Ghazaleh Bridge on the Damascus-Daraa highway, led to the wounding of fifteen policemen, seven of them were seriously wounded,” the ministry clarified.

The ministry added: “Patrols from various police units in the governorate of Daraa rushed to the scene immediately and the wounded were transferred to several hospitals.”

The ministry noted that investigations into the attack are underway to uncover the terrorists and take legal measures against them.
