A number of (ISIS) terrorists eliminated during a security operation in Tariq Al-Sad neighborhood, south of Daraa

Daraa, (ST) – The security services, in cooperation with local and civil groups, eliminated a number of ISIS terrorists. They seized a large amount of ammunition during a security operation in Tariq Al-Sad neighborhood, south of Daraa.

A security source told SANA reporter that the security services and local and civil groups are carrying out a limited security operation against ISIS terrorist cells in Tariq Al-Sad neighborhood south of Daraa city. The result of this operation was the death of a number of ISIS terrorists, and the confiscation of a large amount of hidden ammunition.

The source said that the operation is taking place in an organized manner and with great cooperation from local and civil groups with the aim of eliminating the presence of ISIS terrorists, restoring stability to the areas of the Al-Sadd (Dam) Road and the neighborhoods of Daraa Al-Balad and the camps. This operation coincides with raids, searches and combing operations in areas suspected of presence of ISIS terrorist elements. 

There are a number of ISIS terrorists led by Muayyad Harfush, nicknamed Abu Taja, who are holed up in several locations. The last operation they carried out resulted in casualties and civilian casualties.

During the last period, the competent authorities conducted security operations in cooperation with local and civil groups in Jasim city and in the towns of the western countryside of Daraa. Those security operations resulted in the elimination of dozens of ISIS terrorists, including leaders, and the confiscation of weapons and ammunition in their possession.
