Remarkable results for Syrian players at the end of the Arab Chess Championship for age groups

After strong competitions that lasted for a week, with the participation of 144 players who represented the teams of Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Kuwait and Yemen, in addition to Syria, the Arab Chess Championship, for males and females, was concluded at the Sheraton Maarat Sednaya Hotel in Damascus countryside.

The results in the female category resulted in the victory of the player Sham Hammoud from Syria in the 8-year category, Randa Sidr – Palestine in the 10-year category, Nadia Fawaz – Lebanon in the 12-year category, Sima Salama – Syria in the 14-year category, Iman Sawan – Palestine in the 16-year category, and Nihad Sabbah – Iraq, in the category of 18 years, and Fatima Murad – Syria, in the category of 20 years.

In the male category, the category competitions ended with the victory of Syrian players, Karim Al-Atrash in the 8-year category, Mazen Fendi in the 10-year category, Ward Hassan in the 12-year category, Hamza Masoud in the 14-year category, Rayan Deeb in the 18-year category, while Kuwaiti player Mishaal Al-Hijab won in the 16-year category and the Iraqi player Moazez Al-Zaher in the 20-year category.
