European claims about destination of Ukrainian grain exports incorrect: Zakharova

The European politicians insist on misleading other sides regarding the results of the so-called Ukrainian grain deal, Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said in a statement reported by Russian Today on Wednesday.

“The European side continues to claim that the Ukrainian grains are sent to the most needy and to the poorest countries,” said Zakharova, clarifying that statistics and detailed data on this issue are available for all on the UN website and “everyone can conclude which countries are the poorest and the most needy.”

Zahkarova pointed out that these data refute the European officials’claims.

She went on to say that “European officials are doing this hoping that no one will examine such statements closely and that their affiliated western media will pay no attention to such things as usual.”

It is to be noted that the deal to allow sending Ukrainian grain provides for exporting large quantities to the poorest and most needy countries, while facts and data show that these exports were sent to rich countries that do not suffer from any food crises.

Kiev Security Compact meant to enslave EU

On the other hand, Zakharova said that the Kiev Security Compact would end up “enslaving the European Union,” so that the bloc never recovers.

“This compact, these so-called working groups would get EU countries caught in such a knot, tying their hands so that they would end up hellishly enslaved and subsequently never restore their economic growth and development, nor even their former glory for that matter as well,” the diplomat elaborated, according to Tass.

“A number of provisions mentioned in the compact, specifically those regarding weapons supplies, are already being implemented “on a much larger scale,” Zakharova pointed out.
