Solidarity stand in Nablus in support of prisoners in occupation detention camps

Dozens of Palestinians participated today in a solidarity stand in the center of the city of Nablus in the West Bank in support of the prisoners in the Israeli jails, especially the prisoner Khalil Awawda, who has been on hunger strike for 171 days.
Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the vigil organized by the Palestinian national forces in cooperation with the Palestinian Prisoners Club raised Palestinian flags and banners condemning the Israeli violations against prisoners, especially children and patients, and pictures of the prisoners on hunger strike and chanted slogans saluting their steadfastness and the will of the prisoner Awawda.
The participants stressed that the prisoners are exposed on daily basis to all kinds of oppression, abuse, repression, torture and humiliation inside the prisons of the occupation in contravention of the most basic principles of human rights and international and humanitarian law, calling on the international community to stand by their just causes and pressure the occupation to immediately release all prisoners.
The participants stressed the need to continue to move to support the prisoners who face dangers to their lives and live in harsh and inhuman conditions of detention amid a policy of deliberate medical neglect and solitary confinement.
Yesterday, several cities in the West Bank, including Jenin, Tubas, Bethlehem and Hebron, as well as the besieged Gaza Strip, witnessed demonstrations of solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in their battle against the Israeli jailer.NR
