1420 hectares of cotton are harvested in Al-Hasakah Governorate

The farmers of Al-Hasakah Governorate continue to harvest the areas planted with the cotton crop, which began about ten days ago in the various areas.

The head of the Plant Production Department in the Directorate of Agriculture, Engineer Jalal Bilal, said that cotton harvesting operations covered 1420 hectares that produced 3621 tons.

The farmers will start the second harvest at the end of the first week of October.

It is noteworthy that the area planted with the cotton crop in Al-Hasakah Governorate for the current season amounted to 5910 hectares, with production estimates of nearly 19 thousand tons.
